Last Updated: July 7, 2026 | Effective Date: July 7, 2026

Welcome to AudioZone (referred to as "we", "us", or "our"). We are committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of our users. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and disclose your information when you use our mobile application ("AudioZone") and our website.

By downloading, accessing, or using AudioZone (package com.audiozone.myapp), you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with any terms in this policy, please do not use the app.

1. Information We Collect

We only collect information that is necessary to deliver, authenticate, and personalize the AudioZone music streaming experience.

A. Personal Information (Provided by You)

  • Phone Number: If you choose to upgrade to a verified account, we collect and store your phone number for passwordless authentication.
  • Profile Metadata: If you create a profile or sign up as an artist, we collect profile details including your display name, biography, profile pictures, and genre preferences.
  • Uploaded Content (Artists only): We collect audio tracks, cover artworks, titles, and track metadata that you voluntarily upload for distribution on our platform.

B. Device and Interaction Information (Collected Automatically)

  • Unique Device Identifier: We generate and store a persistent, secure cryptographic device ID when you run the app. This is used to link and preserve your "likes" anonymously, letting you use the app without creating an account.
  • App Performance and Logs: We collect standard network diagnostics, playback speed log details, crash reports, and system performance metrics to ensure app stability.
  • IP Address and Location Data: We access general geographic location data (via IP address) to deliver regional music composition (such as Guinea-specific feeds).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data for various purposes, including:

  • To provide and maintain the core music streaming player and playlist creation.
  • To verify your identity and manage your passwordless verified account using SMS/WhatsApp.
  • To compile and balance the music feed (70/30 local music ratio).
  • To manage artist uploads, credit distributions, and profile views.
  • To track and display anonymous likes and user comments.
  • To identify bugs, prevent fraudulent sessions, and improve overall app reliability.

3. Third-Party Service Providers and Processors

We share and process your data with select, highly secure third-party processors who help us operate our systems:

  • Supabase: Our serverless cloud backend infrastructure. All database storage, profile details, comments, and media assets are safely stored and processed within Supabase instances.
  • Twilio: Used to deliver One-Time Passwords (OTP) via SMS or WhatsApp during verified account sign-in.
  • Spotify API: Used to dynamically fetch and cache 30-second music preview files. No personal identifiers or phone numbers are shared with Spotify.

🛡️ GDPR & Data Erasure Compliance: You can wipe all of your accounts, likes, loves, playlists, comments, and uploaded tracks instantly. Read Section 5 below to learn how.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal data (such as phone number and profile history) only for as long as your account remains active. Device identifiers are kept to preserve anonymous play states, but are unlinked from active records upon request.

5. Account and Data Deletion Rights

We fully comply with global data privacy frameworks (such as the GDPR and CCPA) regarding your right to access, rectify, and completely erase your personal data.

How to Delete Your Data:

You can request complete account and data erasure in two ways:

  1. In-App Deletion: Open AudioZone, go to Settings, and tap Delete Account. This will trigger a secure, instant script that erases all your comments, playlists, follows, likes, loves, files uploaded to Supabase storage, and deletes your auth record permanently.
  2. Web Request Form: You can submit an account erasure request on our Support & Contact Center page by providing the phone number used during sign-up.
  3. Email Request: You can email us at support@audiozone.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request" and your registered phone number.

Once requested, we process deletions within 48 hours. Please note that this action is permanent and cannot be undone.

6. Security of Your Data

The security of your data is important to us. We use encrypted SSL connections for all server-client communications. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure.

7. Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take immediate action to remove it.

8. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Guinea, as well as applicable international standards for App Store and Play Store compliance.
